What is Taiji?

Taiji is a form of self-defense that uses Qi.

Taiji teaches you to feel and know your body again.

Qi is an energy that is present in everything.

Qigong makes it possible to cultivate this energy within our body, through breathing and posture.

Taiji in turn uses this energy to absorb and explode.

Control over fast and slow, hard and soft leads to a balance, Yin and Yang, which leads to peace and quiet.

This rest is extremely important both from a health and defense perspective.

Throughout history, Taiji movements have proven to be incredibly good for the resistance of human health. This does not mean that Taiji is 'only' that. Taiji was developed by an ex-military who loved strategy and martial arts.

The development of Taiji was therefore not only intended to cultivate Qi and balance the body, it was developed primarily as a highly effective self-defense system.
